Scheduling Emails with No Current Sales

Question:

I want to schedule an email to be sent out in two weeks to all customers. However, since there are no sales yet and thus no recipients, I can only save the email as a draft and cannot schedule it. What should I do?

Answer:

To work around this issue, you can create a COMP (complimentary) order to ensure there is at least one order that meets the criteria. This will allow you to schedule the email now. Once sales start coming in, you can either void the COMP order or leave it as is if it doesn't impact your reporting or email distribution.
