Using Purplepass as a Volunteer Signup Page

If you are looking to use Purplepass for managing volunteer sign-ups, you can easily configure the system to serve as a volunteer registration platform. By following the steps below, you’ll be able to turn your event into a volunteer opportunity page without needing to collect payment details.

  • Log in to your Purplepass event organizer dashboard
  • In the dashboard, click Create New Event or, choose to edit an existing event

  • Fill in the general event details like event name, date, location, etc.

Skip any price-related fields, as this event will serve as a sign-up page for volunteers and will not require payment.

  • Scroll down to the Additional Options section

  • At the bottom of this section, check the box for Use custom text for 'Buy Tickets' buttons and links
  • In the text field provided, enter your preferred custom wording
  • This change will be reflected anywhere your event appears in the system, replacing the typical "Buy Tickets" button with your custom message

  • Once you’ve entered all the necessary information and customized the button text, review the event details, and click Save

Now, your Purplepass event page will function as a volunteer registration form with easy-to-understand prompts for interested participants to sign up.

REMINDER

  • The verbiage change you apply (e.g., "Volunteer Now") will be consistent across the system wherever your event is displayed.
  • You can use the event registration data to manage volunteers and communicate updates or information directly from your Purplepass dashboard.

By using this setup, you can streamline the volunteer sign-up process and make it simple for your audience to register for your event.
