Creating Sponsorship Packages Using Donation Ticket Types

You can create different sponsorship tiers or packages by utilizing the donation feature within ticketing. This guide will walk you through setting up various donation tiers with minimum amounts and customizing them to fit your sponsorship model.

  • Navigate to the Ticket Pricing and Options section
  • To create a sponsorship tier, click on "Add Ticket Type
  • In the drop-down menu next to the ticket type, select Donation

Set a Minimum Donation Amount

Once you’ve selected Donation as the ticket type, you can set the minimum amount customers can donate. Enter a minimum amount that corresponds to the sponsorship tier you want to create (e.g., $500 for Silver Sponsor, $1,000 for Gold Sponsor, $2,500 for Diamond Sponsor).

Assign a Name to Each Sponsorship Tier

Customize each donation level by naming it accordingly. For example:

  • Silver Sponsor for a $500 minimum donation.
  • Gold Sponsor for a $1,000 minimum donation.
  • Diamond Sponsor for a $2,500 minimum donation.

These names will appear on the ticketing page, making it easy for potential sponsors to select their desired tier.

  • Repeat the process by adding more Donation Ticket Types with different minimum amounts and names to create multiple sponsorship tiers
  • Ensure each tier has a clear title and distinct minimum donation amount to differentiate between them.

Who Absorbs the Service Fees?

When setting up donations, you will also need to decide who will cover the service fees. This option allows you to either:

    • Have the sponsor absorb the service fees as part of their donation
    • Absorb the service fees on behalf of the sponsor

Why Sponsorship Tiers/Packages Are Important

  • Clear Contribution Levels: Sponsorship tiers help potential sponsors understand how much they need to donate and what benefits they receive in return.
  • Increased Sponsorship: Offering different tiers can encourage a broader range of sponsors, from smaller donors to larger corporate sponsors, by catering to different financial capabilities.
  • Transparency and Organization: By assigning clear names and minimum amounts, sponsors know exactly what their donation level supports, enhancing the credibility of your event.

By utilizing donation ticket types in Purplepass, you can effectively manage sponsorship tiers, providing both flexibility and clarity for potential sponsors, making it easier to attract support for your event.
